1. Who We Are

NEPATrack is operated by Adanwoh Inc., a company incorporated in Canada. Our platform provides independent electricity supply monitoring, bill verification, and NERC regulatory claim tooling for Nigerian households and businesses.

2. Data We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Identity data: First name, last name, and phone number provided during sign-up or onboarding.
• Contact data: Email address (where applicable) and WhatsApp number.
• Location data: Service address and, where you grant permission, approximate GPS coordinates. Used to match your premises to a feeder and verify proximity for crowdsourced reports.
• Electricity account data: DisCo, business unit, feeder, meter number, customer band or tier, and billing figures you enter. This information is used solely to generate your bill analysis and regulatory claim evidence.
• Usage data: Pages visited, features used, and session logs, collected automatically to improve the platform.
• Device data: Browser type, operating system, and IP address, collected for security and analytics.
• Payment data: Transaction references from Paystack. We do not store card numbers — these are handled exclusively by Paystack.

3. How We Use Your Data

• To create and manage your account.
• To match you to a feeder and display supply hours relevant to your location.
• To calculate NERC cap compliance and generate claim documents on your behalf.
• To verify crowdsourced power reports against your reported location.
• To process subscription payments via Paystack.
• To send transactional SMS and WhatsApp notifications via Termii.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
• To detect fraud and ensure platform security.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties and do not use it for unrelated marketing without your explicit consent.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will erase your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, tax, or regulatory compliance purposes (typically up to 7 years for financial records).

Anonymised, aggregated supply data (feeder hours, outage records) may be retained indefinitely as it contains no personal identifiers.

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Delete your account and associated personal data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing.
• Export your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent for optional processing at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@nepatrack.com and we will respond within 14 days. To delete your account directly, use our account deletion request page.

7. Cookies and Tracking

We use session cookies required for authentication. We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies. Analytics are limited to aggregated, anonymised usage data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures including TLS encryption in transit, row-level security on our database, and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

NEPATrack is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us immediately.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you via email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
